Bone Guard : US Patent No 20090069762

Guard for bone collection

Abstract: The guard is arranged to receive the end of a bone which is due to be reshaped or undergo any other procedure that produces fragments of the bone. The guard is provided with at least one wall to prevent sideways moving fragments from exiting the guard and a base for collecting bone fragments. The base is further provided with means through which the bone can be inserted into the guard

-Adult Lower Limb Reconstruction Fellowship: University of Western Ontario 2013-2014

High volume revision hip and knee procedures as well as complex primary hip and knee replacement surgery. Trained in all aspects of hip and knee replacement sugary including:

– Revision and Complex Knee replacement surgery,
– Revision and Complex Hip Replacement Surgery ,
– Hip Arthroscopy and management of Femoro-acetabular impingement,
– Navigated Knee and Hip Replacement Surgery

– Joint Reconstruction Fellowship : Endo-Klinik, Hamburg 2012

The Endo-Klinik is a world-renowned centre of excellence in Orthopaedic surgery with over 6000 joint arthroplasty procedures performed at the centre annually. The Endo-Klinik fellowship is one of the fellowships endorsed by the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres fellowship program and is a well reputed fellowship internationally.
During my fellowship I gained experience in primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty including the use of Tantalum cages, augments and bone allograft for managing bony defects as well as the management of peri-prosthetic infections with one stage exchange procedures for peri-prosthetic infections of hip and knee arthroplasty procedures.

– AO Trauma Fellowship – Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, 2011

I was AO fellow at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, the only Level I adult and paediatric trauma and burn center serving Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. My fellowship was in orthopaedic trauma under the supervision of Dr. Chip Routt where I gained experience in the management of complex pelvic fractures including pelvic reconstruction and percutaneous screw fixation of pubic rami and ilio-sacral fractures. I also gained experience in the management of complex upper and lower limb fractures including
complex hip fracture dislocations and foot and ankle fractures. During my fellowship I competed two esearch projects on the pattern of adult and paediatric pelvic fractures in pedestrians over a ten period and participated in two AO workshops on pelvic fixation and lower limb external fixators.
